. . . A family philosophy
It's a story written in the plural, over the centuries and through the various appellations.
A story of family and love of terroir and vines. As far back as the 18th century, Château de Chamirey, the family home, dominated the entire Côte Chalonnaise.
In 1934, the Marquis de Jouennes, father-in-law of Bertrand
Devillard and grandfather of Amaury and Aurore (current owners/heirs), produced his first bottle of Mercurey red. It was the start of a great adventure... Step by step, the family has written its name in the great book of Burgundy wines.
